Saunahood began with a simple observation.

For years, we've built beautiful Finnish-inspired outdoor saunas for homeowners throughout the Triangle. While those saunas became cherished parts of daily life, they also reminded us that the experience remained out of reach for many households.

We began wondering if there was another way.

What if one beautifully crafted sauna could be shared among neighbors through private reservations—preserving the feeling of a backyard sauna while making the experience accessible to many more people?

Saunahood is our answer.

By thoughtfully sharing one sauna among a community, more people can enjoy the quiet benefits of a regular sauna practice while still experiencing the privacy, comfort, and freedom that make a backyard sauna so special.

Most of our members won't have much experience either.

Before the season begins, we'll gather our Founding Households for a welcome evening where we'll walk through everything together—from how a typical sauna session flows to what to bring, how to cool down, and what to expect.

Each session accommodates up to four people, creating an experience that feels personal every time you visit.

Located near the clubhouse, the sauna is easily accessible to everyone in the neighborhood. Each sauna has two thoughtfully designed spaces. You begin in a small changing and resting room where you can hang your towel, cool down between rounds, enjoy a drink of water, or simply pause for a few minutes. Large windows keep you connected to the outdoors throughout the experience.

From there, you step into the sauna itself, where a traditional Finnish electric sauna stove provides gentle, even heat. Add water to the hot stones to create löyly—the soft steam that is at the heart of Finnish sauna tradition—and enjoy views of the surrounding landscape as the seasons change outside.

The experience is designed to feel just as connected to nature as it does to the warmth inside.
